There’s this house on my bike route that puts up one of those mist archways for cyclists to ride through on hot days. The person who put it up also installed a camera that counts how many cars, peds, and cyclists go by... I’ll interview him.
when I ride my bike I often come across the same dilema;
I’m at an intersection along a bike route, there is a light that can be activated by pressing a crossing button on the street.
here’s my dilema,
do I press the button in order to cross safely?
... but a stopped car is an idleling car, which is bad for the environment
... after all it only takes me like 3 seconds to cross but the red light will last more than 15
or
do I just wait for a break in traffic so that no one has to stop?
...which would allow me to not feel that strange environmental guilt
or
if what I really care about is the environment,
do I press them regardless of if I need to use them?
making it less convienient for cars,
hopefully making them think it’d be easier to use a different for of transportation (yeah right)
is that anarchy, well not really, but it occupies the humourus bits of “anarchy” I think of sometimes
like putting you american flag stamps upside down... or purposefully giving from answers on youtube ad surveys... I’m a real rebel
